About Koharia
Koharia is an open-source Android comics and books reader for personal media servers and local libraries. It brings server browsing, device-file management, item details, reading progress, offline access, and reader settings together in one app.

Server versions, account permissions, and server configuration affect which features are available. Koharia does not provide or host media content; what you can browse depends on connected servers and local folders that you explicitly authorize.
Core features
- Manage multiple server and local-library connections, with account data, caches, and reading records isolated by connection.
- Use the comics reader for images, archives, PDF, and DjVu, and the reflowable reader for EPUB, TXT, Markdown, and experimental Mobipocket / Kindle text.
- Read comics in paged, continuous, or dual-page modes with configurable direction, zoom, cropping, and page caching.
- Use EPUB contents, full-text search, bookmarks, font imports, typography controls, and chapter read-aloud.
- Synchronize supported progress, history, bookmarks, and annotations by source, with pending changes handled after reconnecting.
- Keep shelf metadata, book cache, comic page cache, and manual downloads separate so a cache is never mistaken for an offline file.
Local formats
Local libraries support comic archives (CBZ, ZIP, CBR, RAR, 7Z, CB7, TAR, and CBT), common images and image folders, and EPUB, PDF, TXT, Markdown, MOBI, PRC, AZW, AZW3, and DjVu content.
Markdown uses reflowable pagination for headings, lists, blockquotes, and code blocks, with a document outline. MOBI, PRC, AZW, and AZW3 have experimental text support without DRM, complex layouts, or embedded images; DjVu reading depends on Android WebView WebAssembly support.
System requirements
Koharia requires Android 8.0 or later.
Before using a server, make sure your device can reach it and have the required address, credentials, and permissions ready. For a local library, grant Koharia persistent access to the relevant folders through Android's system file picker.
