Add a smanga server

Koharia has a built-in smanga connection targeting the smanga 4.3 API. OPDS must be enabled; saving a connection validates both the login and OPDS access.

Prepare the details

  • A smanga server address, optionally including a reverse-proxy subpath or /api suffix.
  • A username and password.
  • OPDS enabled on the server and an account with access to the target media libraries.
  • An optional Wi-Fi LAN address for the same server.

Steps

  1. Open connection management and choose Add connection → smanga.
  2. Enter a connection name, server address, username, and password.
  3. Enter the LAN address in advanced address settings when needed.
  4. Save the connection and wait for login and OPDS validation.
  5. Browse all accessible libraries or select one library from the shelf.

Shelf and reading

Sort by name, update time, or creation time, and optionally show only content downloaded through the current connection. Series details provide chapter lists, comic page reading, and PDF reading.

Shelf and details data are cached persistently and remain browsable offline. Uncached queries still require a connection. A PDF must be fully downloaded before its pages can be rendered.

Chapter progress, read status, and reading history are stored in a pending sync queue and retried after reconnecting. Page mapping or progress conflicts can ask you to choose the local or server position.

Common issues

  • OPDS is unavailable: enable OPDS on the smanga server and save the connection again.
  • Login fails: verify the credentials and reverse-proxy path, and try the base address without /api when appropriate.
  • Content is missing: check the account's media-library permissions, or switch between all libraries and one selected library.
  • Offline reading fails: confirm that the chapter body finished downloading rather than only its shelf metadata being cached.
