Cannot connect to a server

Check the address, port, reverse-proxy path, and credentials, and make sure the Android device can reach the server. Kavita needs an Auth Key, smanga requires OPDS, and LANraragi can leave the API key empty when authentication is disabled.

When public and LAN addresses are configured, confirm that both point to the same server and account. Do not keep an address that failed identity verification.

A shelf is empty or incomplete

Confirm that the account can access the target library, then refresh manually. Offline mode can show only cached shelves or downloaded content; cached metadata does not mean that the content body is downloaded.

Reading or download fails

Verify in the relevant server web interface that the same account can open the item, then check storage, folder permissions, and network access. smanga PDFs need a complete download, LANraragi Archive pages need a separate download, and some Kavita features depend on server version and permissions.

Reading progress conflicts

Another device or the server may have changed the reading state, so Koharia can ask you to choose a local or server position. When page order changes, visual page numbers are not a stable server position; confirm the content version before choosing.

Files are missing from a local library

Confirm that the folder still exists and Koharia still has Android access, then pull to refresh. Check the format and organization mode: a series library treats only direct child folders as series, while a single-file library recursively displays supported files and image folders.

If a folder moved or permission was revoked, choose the same folder or its new location in local-library settings to restore its index and custom covers.

Metadata or import fails

Importing and writing sidecars require a writable folder. If external metadata changed, resolve the conflict by keeping the local version or accepting the external version, then refresh. Direct open supports one file; use import for multiple files.
