0.7.0 Latest

Koharia 0.7.0

This release adds Kavita and Suwayomi integration, plus WebDAV / SMB network libraries, with improvements to shelf search, download indicators, reading progress, EPUB footnotes, and comic reading.

Kavita support

  • Add multiple servers and accounts, including reverse-proxy subpaths and public/LAN addresses for the same server.
  • Browse series, volumes, and chapters by library, with search, sorting, and filters for format, genre, tags, collections, language, reading status, and more.
  • Read comics in the shared reader, EPUBs in the native reflowable reader, and PDFs with page rendering or reflow.
  • Synchronize progress, read status, and history. Offline updates are saved for retry, with a choice between local and server progress when conflicts occur.
  • Access Want to Read, collections, reading lists, custom shelves, bookmarks, and annotations, subject to server version and account permissions.
  • Show cached shelves first and respect server permissions for manual downloads. Online EPUB reading does not require permission to download the original file.

The integration targets Kavita 0.8.0 and later. Basic reading does not require a Kavita+ subscription.

Suwayomi support

  • Connect using a server URL with None, Basic, Simple Login, or UI Login / JWT authentication. Reverse-proxy subpaths and dual addresses for the same server are supported.
  • Browse the library by category, view series details and chapters, and use search, filters, sorting, and visible-category settings.
  • Browse, search, and pin server sources, change source preferences, and install, update, or uninstall server extensions.
  • Read comics online or download them to the device for offline reading, with separate controls for the server download queue.
  • Synchronize progress, read status, and history, with caches and pending updates isolated by connection and account.
  • Migrate between sources on the same server by finding target manga and transferring selected information such as categories and reading state.

The integration targets Suwayomi-Server 2.4.2366 and later. Sources and extensions run on your own server. Downloading to the server does not save content to your phone.

WebDAV / SMB network libraries

  • Added WebDAV and SMB modes when creating a local library, allowing access to comic and book folders on a NAS or home server.
  • Authenticate first, then browse and select the library folder. WebDAV accepts complete paths; SMB supports share and subfolder browsing over SMB2/SMB3.
  • Use the local library's series-based or individual-file organization, cover browsing, details, and readers for supported formats.
  • Configure primary and LAN addresses, with verification that both point to the same root before switching.
  • Build an index on the first scan and show saved content on subsequent visits. Refresh after external file changes; reconnecting does not automatically rescan the library.
  • Read content on demand with an adjustable automatic cache, 512 MiB by default. Manual downloads remain separate from automatic caching.
  • Writable roots support progress synchronization across devices using the same account, while different accounts retain separate progress. Read-only connections keep progress locally.
  • Revalidate network connections after restoring a backup. Removing a connection does not delete remote files.

Content without range-read support requires complete caching first. Progress is not merged across WebDAV and SMB connections to the same folder. Legacy remote progress files from earlier test builds without account isolation are retained but no longer imported automatically.

Shelves, details, and downloads

  • Unified search interactions across libraries, improved title, author, and tag matching, and refined filter persistence.
  • Improved shelf download indicators and reading progress, distinguishing partial downloads, complete downloads, and content caches.
  • Improved shared series details, chapter presentation, and entry-opening settings for a more consistent experience across libraries.
  • Improved Kavita shelf state and fixed sorting and pagination for mixed Komga search results.
  • Fixed issues affecting some book downloads and search being ignored in Suwayomi's downloaded-only view.
  • Fixed range-cache eviction preventing continued reading of large network files after reaching the cache budget.

Comic and EPUB reading

  • Improved double-tap zoom, volume-key page turns, and page-turn handling while content loads.
  • Added configurable double-page image export and comic moiré reduction, with improved long-image handling.
  • Improved EPUB continuous-scroll progress, position restoration, and reading state for local series.
  • Improved EPUB footnote markers, touch targets, and compatibility. Fixed document preparation being interrupted when publisher styles were disabled.
  • Updated loading indicators in Suwayomi browsing, migration, and image previews to use static states on E-Ink displays.

Local libraries and data management

  • Unified local-series metadata editing and improved archive loading, directory identity recovery, and custom-cover maintenance.
  • Improved backup and restore handling for connection settings, network-library state, and Suwayomi data.
  • Strengthened connection, account, and remote-progress isolation to prevent reading progress from mixing between accounts accessing the same network folder.
  • Updated the Chinese and English documentation with connection instructions, usage details, and limitations for the new integrations.

Downloads and installation

  • GitHub downloads: choose the universal Koharia-v0.7.0-release.apk if you are unsure of your device architecture. Architecture-specific APKs are also available.
  • Quark mirror, access code: 8tbp.
  • Baidu mirror, access code: 6s2g.
  • FOSS edition: Koharia-v0.7.0-foss.apk, without telemetry components. It uses a separate application ID and can coexist with the regular edition, but cannot update it in place.

Builds from the same channel with the same signing certificate can be updated in place without uninstalling or clearing data. Mirror links are unchanged; check that the downloaded APK is version 0.7.0.
